Capitol Opera Harrisburg was founded in July, 2000, by Kathleen Torchia, a native of Harrisburg.

For the last six years Captiol Opera Harrisburg made its home at the William Penn Campus Auditorium, which was offered by the City of Harrisburg under Stephen R. Reed.

Harrisburg's new administration was not as welcoming, so Capitol Opera is currently looking for a new home.  There are some very good prospects; we'll keep you informed!
